A2. Pahadi. Authentic.

A2? Pahadi? What does it actually mean?

Regular ghee often comes from hybrid cows (Jersey/HF), but our Pahadi A2 Ghee comes exclusively from Pahadi Gauri cows. Its protein structure matches mother's milk, making it the only ghee that heals your gut without causing gas or bloating.

WHY US?

The Pahadi Aura Difference

Most 'A2 Ghee' is just marketing. Ours is geography. The medicinal value of ghee comes from what the cow eats. Our cows don't eat plastic or feed; they graze on Himalayan herbs.

Our Roots

We didn't start a company.
We shared a tradition.

In the heart of the Himalayas, at 8,000 feet above sea level in Jubbal, Shimla, our story begins with the people who make it possible. This isn't a factory operation, it's a collective of dedicated farmers like Suresh Kesta, Sugam Ghamta, who have been tending to their Pahadi cows for generations.

Every jar of ghee carries their commitment to preserving traditional methods and the purity of our mountain heritage. When you choose our ghee, you're not just buying a product, you're becoming part of a community that values authenticity, sustainability, and the timeless wisdom of the mountains.

Signature

Ethically Sourced

We follow the ancient Dohan principle. The calf always feeds first. We only take what is left, ensuring our cows are happy, loved, and never stressed.

100% Natural & Tested

Trust, but verify. Every batch is rigorously tested in NABL-accredited labs to prove it is 100% A2 milk fat with absolutely zero vegetable oil or preservatives.

Earth and Health Conscious

We respect the mountains we come from. Our ghee is packed in high-quality glass jars with metal lids, no plastic touches your food, ever.

No secrets, just nature.

You Ask, We Answer

What exactly makes your ghee different from the ones I buy at the supermarket?

The biggest difference is "intention." Most commercial ghee is made from cream in factories. Ours is made the slow, ancient way in the mountains! We use nutrient-rich A2 milk from free-grazing Himalayan cows, turn it into curd, slow-churn it to get butter, and then slow-cook it over firewood. It’s not just a product, it’s a labor of love that tastes like home.

What does A2 Ghee actually mean?

Think of it as the "original" milk protein. A2 is a specific type of protein found in the milk of indigenous Indian cows. Unlike the A1 protein found in many hybrid breeds, A2 is known to be easier on the stomach, easier to digest, and free from the bloating some people feel with regular dairy.

Is it safe for people with lactose intolerance?

Generally, yes. The traditional Bilona process we use separates the milk solids (where the lactose lives) from the fat. While we always recommend checking with your doctor if you have a severe allergy, many of our customers with mild lactose sensitivities find our A2 Ghee much lighter and easier to digest than standard dairy or A1 ghee.

How can I be sure it's safe and pure?

We don't expect you to just take our word for it. Every batch we make is tested in an NABL-accredited lab (that's the government standard). We check for A2 protein authenticity, fat purity, and ensure there are absolutely no preservatives or nasties.

Why is this ghee expensive compared to others ?

Authenticity yields less. It takes roughly 25 litres of A2 milk to produce just 1 litre of our Pahadi ghee. Mass-market brands use cream (malai) which is cheaper but lacks nutrients. We sell pure health, not just fat.
